Mrs Jones! Happy to hear that she is fine!
i'd like to offer a public apology to nathan natas for making a wrong decision when i deleted him.. i allowed a combination of previous issues we'd had and input from other forum members to bias my decision which lead me to what i now, in hindsight, believe to have been a mistake.. whether you want to come back and post here or not i wanted to at least say sorry and will reactivate your account..

i just learned that an 11 year old kid is taking the questions for baptism.
as soon as his father finished tellig me this, i told him that he should make his son wait, but he responded that he couldn't go against jehovah' spirit.
i gave the guy a break because he is the uneducated and naive immigrant who puts his heart, not his mind, into the religion.
To be honest....I think you are to confrontative. Try to get him to express what he feels and thinks. Now he will probably just give you the societys answers.
You could ask him in a careful way if he really thinks it's OK disfellowshipping a 12-13 years old boy/girl?

"When I started reading here, I didn't know who Palmtree67 was. Her life was HARD. Her relatives, weird. I could relate. lol I read her old posts, she has been through he!!.
I found her honest, caring, sharing and funny. I never read or saw anything that she wrote, that wasn't one of those things.
To make a long story short, I found out, that I know her. I was at her first wedding. Her parents, especially her mom, was making fun of her in front of everybody, at her own wedding reception! It was unbelievable! I had always wondered, what happened to that sweet child. Then I joined up here. Not knowing anyone. But at about the time I realized who Palmtree67 was, she didn't post anymore. I can't imagine the hurt for someone like her, with all she has been through, to be banned from this site. It rather turned my stomach, when I realized if it could happen to Palmtree67, it could happen even to me.
Can you find it in your heart, to allow my little friend, Palmtree67, back into the "fold"? She is of our kind. She is a help and I am sure many have missed her."
Oh, I didn't know she was banned. I saw her with the forum member TEC in a picture in a photo-thread. I think they both are nice women.
I once was a bit rude to the lady TEC, but we cleared it out. I am happy that I wasn't banned!
Anyway, I am happy that I am not a moderator here......moderating can be very hard sometimes.
I hope everything is fine with Palmtree.
1 - reconsider your existence - there might be a reason why the most effective resources to date have been solo efforts.
2 - recognize that even well-intentioned organizations will firstly seek self-preservation.
3 - be aware that egos and emotional stupidity have torn apart much grander edifices than aawa.
Some interesting point.
Yes, I think the most important is to reach JW's with doubts, or JW's that fell that they have a miserable life. An agressive organisation would probably scare those away.
Maybe forum like this is more effective. So let's be careful not to scare lurkers away. and let's not intimidate people that are still in.

"And now kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has had intercourse with man by lying with a male. And preserve alive for yourselves all the little ones among the women who have not known the act of lying with a male.""
What's wrong with 32000 virgins? I think Mose and his buddies enjoyed themselves!I just wonder if Mose himself inspected the hymen of all those virgins!
In that case he had a lot to do!

"GALATIANS 6:4, 5 4 But let each one prove what his own work is, and then he will have cause for exultation in regard to himself alone, and not in comparison with the other person. 5 For each one will carry his own load.
Would you have us choose for him?"
Hmmm. the WTS makes a lot of choices for it's people, e g in areas of education, medical treatments etc.......that's just hypocrite.
Is this elder 100% sure that it's not the parents choise?
went to the weeknight meeting this week for the first time in a long while.
the study was all about how having children was ill-advised in this time of the end- the comments dwelled on what a burden children are, how you can spend more time in the ministry without children, and look what they did in jerusalem- they cannabilized their own children!
it's going to be so horrible to watch our children suffer during the great tribulation!
"I remember the talk given at the District Convention back in 1987 when I was baptised at the age of 19 entitled "Childrearing In The Time of The End" and now many people who were not even born back then are grown and have children of their own. I wonder how people who have been in that cult for so many years can keep a straight face when they hear this shit over and over."
Yes, I remember that... I was visiting 3 different District conventions that year....(I was young looking for a sister to marry)...but that talk started to open my eyes. In fact there were 3 lovley sisters wanting to marry me......I was almost to get engaged. The sunmmer 1988 I visited my last District assembly.
But yes..It makes me a bit sad....I didn't have children. Sometimes I think about how it would be having a family and children.
this case is in it's 9th year an has been touched upon briefly on and off.. the latest from the federal court is that all gated communites in puerto rico have until april 23 to provide the watchtower corporation full access.... this means the entry code or remote control devices that open the front fence.. this is clearly an act of provocation in order to create "pseudo-persecution" thereby increasing fs hours and "voluntary donations"....
But...wait a minute.......isn't field service just personal ministry and not organised by the WTS? This is strange.

That's fine! I hope that all apostates, including the AAWA will get the same access to all brooklyn facilities!

Rule #1: Be very careful...not pusshy or agressive
Rule #2: Debating a JW it's better to focus on "bible bullshit" than on "WTS bullshit"
Rule #3: Ask questions. try not to be overtly apostate. Let her think...don't bring all TTATT.
